This is not a passive modality role. Revival is looking for a Registered Kinesiologist who wants meaningful interaction with clients and an active role in helping them follow through on their care plan. You will provide kinesiology services within your scope, coach clients through movement and exercise, and coordinate closely with the treating therapists so each client understands the plan, completes the next step, and receives help when progress stalls.

The right person enjoys the human side of care. You ask useful questions, explain movement clearly, notice when a client is uncertain or losing momentum, and communicate those observations back to the care team. You are comfortable owning follow-up without stepping outside your scope or independently changing a therapist's clinical plan.

What makes this role different

• In many clinics, a kinesiologist is used mainly to supervise modalities or move clients through a standard protocol. At Revival, the role is built around connection, coaching, clinical support, and coordination. Your work helps turn a treatment recommendation into a plan the client can understand and carry out.
• You will spend substantial time speaking with clients, teaching, coaching, and checking understanding.
• You will work from a therapist-confirmed plan and contribute your own kinesiology observations within scope.
• You will help clients progress from assessment and treatment into confident movement, exercise, and self-management.
• You will identify barriers such as uncertainty, low confidence, scheduling difficulty, poor follow-through, or changing symptoms and route them to the right team member.
• You will be measured by client follow-through, quality of communication, documentation, and coordinated care rather than by how many modalities you supervise.

What you will do

• Provide direct kinesiology care
• Complete kinesiology assessments and reassessments within your competence and scope of practice.
• Deliver one-on-one exercise rehabilitation, movement coaching, education, and appropriately progressed home programs.
• Help clients build confidence with movement and understand how the exercises connect to their goals and care plan.
• Monitor tolerance, technique, functional change, and client-reported response, then document your findings clearly.
• Support the client journey
• Review therapist handoffs and confirmed care-plan steps before meeting with a shared client.
• Reinforce the recommended plan in plain language and confirm that the client understands the next action.
• Follow up at agreed points after an initial visit, exercise session, or progress checkpoint.
• Help clients who have not rebooked, have missed a checkpoint, or are struggling with follow-through using approved clinic processes.
• Identify practical barriers and connect the client with the therapist or clinic team member who can address them.
• Coordinate with the care team
• Share concise, useful updates with the treating therapist, including progress, barriers, questions, and changes that may require review.
• Escalate increased pain, new symptoms, red flags, contraindications, or requests to change the plan rather than making decisions outside your scope.
• Participate in case discussions and help maintain a consistent message across the client's care team.
• Keep timely records in the clinic system so the next team member can see what happened and what is needed next.
• Recommend or help book another service only when it has been confirmed as appropriate by the responsible clinician and is consistent with the client's goals.

What you need

• A four-year degree in kinesiology, human kinetics, exercise science, or a related program accepted by the Alberta Kinesiology Association.
• Active Professional Kinesiologist membership in good standing with the Alberta Kinesiology Association.
• Current professional liability insurance covering the full scope of your kinesiology practice. Proof of membership and insurance is required before seeing clients.
• Sound judgment about kinesiology scope, informed consent, privacy, documentation, and when to refer or escalate.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and other health professionals.
• Reliable follow-through and comfort managing both scheduled client sessions and care-coordination tasks.
• Ability to work in person in Airdrie and eligibility to work in Canada.
• Experience that would help
• Exercise rehabilitation, persistent pain, return to activity, injury recovery, or performance-focused care.
• Health coaching, behaviour change, motivational interviewing, or supporting clients who feel uncertain about movement.
• Working in a multidisciplinary clinic and communicating with therapists about shared clients.
• Experience with Jane or another clinical booking and charting system.
