Full job description

Indian River Farms is seeking experienced Potato Equipment Operators to join our team.

This position offers a competitive wage with health and dental benefits!

As a Farm Equipment Operator, you will be equally responsible for operating farm equipment for planting, harvesting, spraying and tilling. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain their Canadian class 3 driver’s license and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in operating farming equipment such as 8 R Series John Deer Tractors, T670-S780 Combines, GPS Systems, 30' Tillage Equipment, and Spudnik planters, hiller and harvesters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in potato growing business
  • Experience operating planters and harvesters is strongly preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize machine operating, knowing when to conduct repairs or when to call in for Maintenance support.
  • Team player with an ability to participate in cross-functional teams
