Polytech Aero Support Inc. offers a wide variety of aeronautical services to independent aircraft operators, airlines and aeronautical products manufacturers worldwide. The company provides Turn Key Modification Design and Certification Engineering Package; Complete Cabin and IFE Retrofit Engineering Package; Complete VIP and VVIP interiors retrofit, Airline Technical and Engineering Services; Maintenance and Flight Operations Consulting; Engine and Aircraft Performance and Health Monitoring; Aircraft Weighing Services; Fuel Conservation Monitoring; Other Customized Airline Support.

The Aircraft Structural Engineer performs various engineering tasks related to aircraft structures.

Under the Engineering Director your main responsibilities will include:

  • Review the structural work performed on the aircraft and ensure it is within the acceptable margins.
  • Validate and enter all structural repairs performed on aircraft in to the internal database.
  • Help with the development of aircraft interior parts.
  • Structurally analyze components for installation on the aircraft.
  • Draft stress reports.
  • Support the engineering department as required.
  • On site airline support in airline hangar (Dorval).

Preferred Qualifications And/or Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2 - 6 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience with designing, manufacturing and analyzing aircraft components, systems and interiors.
  • Experience working with TCCA, FAA or EASA (an asset).
  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of airframe manufacturer requirements for cabin interiors including emergency landing conditions, HIC etc.
  • Knowledge of airframe manufacturer NDT and SRM manuals.
  • Knowledge of Amos (an asset).
