Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and experience in food handling, meal preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting. Duties

• Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards
• Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices during meal preparation
• Serve dishes efficiently and courteously to customers or dining areas
• Support kitchen staff with meal assembly, portioning, and plating
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety protocols
• Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination
• Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of shortages

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently and accurately
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and food presentation
• Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers or staff
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
• Food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for entry-level applicants

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
