COMMUNITY RESOURCE WORKER 1 AWAKE OVERNIGHT for LEDUC Res 3

(1 part-time, permanent position available)

About the position:

McMan’s Disability Services Program is seeking a dedicated Community Resource Worker I (CRW I) to provide support to two female individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will help enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and encourage meaningful participation within their homes and communities.

Hours: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 9 PM – 9 AM, averaging 36 awake hours per week.

Location: Edmonton, Alberta.

What you’ll do:

· Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities.

· Acting as a strong advocate for individuals in the community.

· Work effectively as a team with the individual and their support team to help achieve their goals.

· Completion of daily documentation.

· Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities.

· Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home.

· Participate in on-going program development.

What you bring:

· Completion of a High School Diploma.

· Please note that applicants with a degree or diploma in Social Work from a university accredited by the Alberta College of Social Workers are required to be registered with the College (RSW) before starting or obtain registration within three months of hire.

· Six (6) months experience working within the Human Services field.

· Equivalencies may be considered.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).

· Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.

· A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience, a reliable vehicle, and $2 million in auto insurance are considered assets.

· Computer/Word processing skills.

· Ability to assist with personal care, and lifts & transfers

· Desire to see individuals succeed.
