Job Summary

Are you looking for a rewarding full-time career? We are seeking experienced Warehouse Technicians at Syncrude Mildred Lake / Aurora sites to play an important role in our operations. We are seeking motivated and self-starters that are responsible for the wide array of warehousing activities. We wantyou to be a part of our team and look forward to hearing from you! Must be a RESIDENT of Fort McMurray.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all legislative and site safety procedures and initiatives.
  • Management of stored, incoming and outgoing material through SAP-S4 inventory management system.
  • Receive, store and distribute material throughout the warehouse, yard and site according to requirements. (unload, load, pick, label, store, reconcile)
  • Prepare and complete orders for end user pick up or delivery according to requirements. (pick, process, load, unload, wrap, label, ship)
  • Completion of reports and warehouse projects when required.
  • Loading and unloading of goods from various types of delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to safely operate various types of warehouse equipment, i.e., Turret truck, order picker, propane and diesel counterbalance forklift of multiple load ratings, loader, skid steer as well as hand carts, trolleys, tools and pallet jacks.
  • Perform inbound, outbound, kitting, shipping, receiving, reverse logistics, yard and specialized functions.
  • Liaising and collaborative work relations with different carriers, business units and shippers.
  • Prepare shipping/regulatory documentation.
  • Data entry, reporting and inventory oversight.

Working Conditions

  • Physically fit to handle both outdoor weather conditions and indoor industrial warehouse settings.
  • Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Required to stand for extended periods of time, constantly lifting/picking/moving moderate to heavy materials and completing repetitive tasks with minimal breaks.
  • Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs and be physically fit to perform all required duties.
  • Ability to work at heights on equipment and ladders.
  • Candidate may be required to complete fit-to-work test, based on client’s requirements.

Base Requirements:

  • Able and willing to pass a pre-access drug & alcohol test
  • No criminal record
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) CSTS-09/ OSSA or BSO or CSO

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years related Forklift/warehouse experience.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
  • Responsible and works well with others and independently.
  • Excels under high pressure situations.
  • Proven strong communication and personable nature.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel.
  • SAP/equivalent inventory management program an asset.
