Scope
The Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling proposals that advance the organization's mission and strategic goals. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to design projects that are responsive to community needs and priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical thinker with strong proposal-writing, data analysis, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential partnership and funding opportunities with community organizations, corporations, foundations, and government agencies
- Develop and draft partnership agreements that reflect mutual benefits and align with the organization’s values and objectives
- Conduct comprehensive research and needs assessments to inform program development and measure community impact
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on agency programs for funders, stakeholders, and public distribution
- Research, identify, and secure funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and collaborative initiatives
- Develop compelling grant proposals, progress reports, and funder documentation in line with reporting requirements and timelines
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and goal-driven work environment across program teams
- Maintain organized administrative systems and processes to support reporting, evaluation, and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- University degree in Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Social Work, Management, Psychology, Adult Education, or Counselling, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, partnership development, project management, or a related role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work collaboratively
- Experience in fundraising is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software
- Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to community development
- Knowledge of settlement and resettlement programs is an asset
Other requirements
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed when offer is made)
