The Marketing and Promotional Staff reports directly to the Marketing Manager and works collaboratively with the design team, YUSC services, and fellow student staff. Professionalism and clear communication are expected in interactions with all internal and external stakeholders.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • This is a part-time position based on a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Work is conducted in an office environment as well as throughout campus for postering, tabling, and promotional activities.
  • Frequent use of computers and social media management tools is required.
  • The role involves both desk-based tasks and light physical activity (e.g., lifting flyers, setting up promotional tables, moving marketing supplies).

5. POLICIES & EXPECTATIONS

  • Comply with all YUSC policies, including those related to attendance, conduct, health and safety, confidentiality, and anti-oppression.
  • Participate in required training sessions and performance evaluations.
  • Uphold YUSC’s mission of inclusive engagement and student-centered service delivery.

6. LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Build foundational skills in digital marketing, social media strategy, and student engagement.
  • Develop time management and collaborative skills through campaign coordination and outreach work.
  • Apply academic knowledge to real-world marketing tasks in a campus-based, professional environment.
