Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Line Cook to join our new Bready location in the heart of Yonge and Eglinton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This role offers clear opportunities for growth, including the potential to advance into supervisor position for team members who demonstrate strong leadership, consistency and operation excellence.

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in the food service industry
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiarity with industry best practices and food safety standards
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus

Compensation:

- Base hourly wage: $18 - $21/hr

- Tips: Shared tip pool

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per year

  • Cooking: 1 year (required)
