In this role, you’ll apply your metallurgy expertise to exciting mining and mineral processing projects, making a tangible impact on project success and sustainable resource development.
As an Intermediate Metallurgist in our ERI Metals and Mining group, you will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing studies and detailed engineering for new processing plants as well as upgrades to existing facilities. Ideally, this position will be located in our Vancouver office .

Your Impact

  • Support metallurgical studies and engineering projects for mineral processing facilities from concept through detailed design.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to define project requirements and communicate technical findings.
  • Develop mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), equipment sizing calculations, and process design criteria.
  • Coordinate laboratory and pilot-scale test work programs, analyze results, and translate findings into practical design recommendations.
  • Contribute to capital and operating cost estimates, technical reports, and study deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing technical specifications, procurement packages, and engineering documentation.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality technical solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • Support innovation, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of mining and metallurgical projects.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in mineral processing and metallurgical engineering.
  • Eligible for, or registered as, a P.Eng. with the appropriate provincial engineering association.
  • Experience developing process designs, mass balances, and equipment selection packages.
  • Familiarity with laboratory test work programs and interpretation of metallurgical results.
  • Experience in mining, consulting, engineering, or industrial processing environments.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $85,100 - $112,800
MB & ON: $77,700 - $107,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $76,900 - $102,100
