Full job description

About Ellison Travel & Tours

We're a Canadian, family-owned travel company with over 45 years of experience helping people explore the world. From group and student tours to women's travel and performing arts and more.

The Role

We are looking for a strong, hands-on marketing professional who can take direction, organize work, and execute marketing initiatives with minimal supervision.

This is not a people-manager role and not a high-level strategy role. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure marketing tasks, campaigns, website updates, supplier promotions, newsletters, and internal requests are completed accurately, consistently, and on time.

This role operates in a high-volume environment with multiple concurrent campaigns, deadlines, and internal requests.

The right person is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to move projects forward independently. They should be comfortable taking direction from leadership and turning it into finished, high-quality marketing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the independent execution and delivery of marketing work, including:

  • Email newsletters and supplier promotions
  • Campaign setup, coordination, and execution
  • Website content updates (offers, landing pages, blogs, testimonials)
  • Managing and responding to internal marketing requests from sales, product teams, and leadership
  • Maintaining marketing calendars, timelines, and project tracking
  • Creating and maintaining templates, repeatable processes, and workflows
  • Coordinating with suppliers, designers, and external partners (including digital agencies), ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Acting as the internal coordinator for external partners, ensuring work is complete, accurate, and ready before submission
  • Tracking and reporting on campaign activity and basic performance metrics

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with 3–6 years of hands-on marketing execution experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Website content management systems (WordPress or similar)
  • Campaign coordination and delivery
  • Basic analytics and reporting
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong writing skills with an eye for accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and know when to escalate
  • Comfortable with tools like Adobe Express, InDesign, and email marketing platforms

Ideal Candidate

The right person will be:

  • Highly proactive and self-directed
  • Organized and able to create structure where needed
  • Highly detail-oriented and accurate, while still able to work at pace
  • Reliable and accountable for deadlines and outcomes
  • Comfortable following up and keeping others on track
  • Calm under pressure
  • A strong finisher who consistently closes loops and completes work fully
  • Comfortable working independently without needing constant guidance

Why Ellison?

We're a team that genuinely loves what we do. Travel is our business, and we believe in taking care of the people behind it.

We’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to become part of our dynamic, industry-recognized team. As a well-established travel company with a strong reputation across Canada and internationally, we’re committed to providing exceptional service—and we’re excited to welcome someone who shares that passion.

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada to apply.

Ellison Travel & Tours will accommodate individual accessibility needs throughout the hiring process. We ask that applicants make their needs known when first contacted by our recruitment team.
