Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented RPG Editor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and enhancing role-playing game content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engaging storytelling. Your expertise will help bring immersive games to life by editing and shaping game rules, adventure descriptions, and gameplay documentation. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation of compelling gaming experiences.

Duties

  • Proofread and review game manuscripts, narratives, and related content to ensure rules accuracy, grammar, and house style
  • Edit and copy edit game descriptions, stats, tables, and lore to enhance clarity and engagement
  • Confirm facts, terminology, and game mechanics for accuracy and authenticity
  • Organize, format, and manage large volumes of content efficiently
  • Maintain high standards by reviewing content for coherence, tone, and readability
  • Communicate clearly and often with team members across departments to incorporate feedback and meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience in copy editing, editing, and proofing within the tabletop gaming industry or a related field
  • Strong writing skills with an eye for detail and a passion for role-playing games
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate developers, graphic designers, and project managers
  • Passion for accuracy and advocacy for readers and players
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for editing, styling, and formatting documents
  • Knowledge of RPG genre conventions, terminology, and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
