Full job description

Integrated Control Technology (ICT) is a world-leading innovator in intelligent access control and security solutions. Trusted by organizations across the globe, we help protect people, operations, and critical information through powerful, future-focused technology.

We are seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join our North American Customer Success team, based in Vaughan in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a hands-on technical specialist role for an engineer who enjoys being at the centre of complex projects - partnering directly with integrators and end users to turn ambitious designs into successful, real-world deployments. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Technical Support and Sales to drive partner outcomes from pre-sale to post-deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide expert application engineering support to partners on complex projects and integrations across the ICT product set and the broader access control, intrusion, and security integration domains. A core focus is leading design reviews for partner projects, including those triggered automatically by behavioural signals such as first-time complex orders and new-product hyper-care.

During new product introductions, you act as the embedded technical resource for partners, particularly in the first 90 days of a launch. Working alongside Sales and Customer Success Managers, you'll provide pre-sale technical support on complex opportunities and resolve high-complexity escalations from Technical Support, both remotely and on-site as required.

Beyond individual projects, the role contributes to the knowledge base, training content, and product feedback loops based on real-world partner engagement, feeding structured insight back to Product and R&D on application issues, feature requests, and improvement opportunities. Maintaining deep product knowledge alongside current awareness of industry trends and competitive products is essential, as is representing ICT at partner events, trade shows, and training sessions, and collaborating across North America on global accounts and shared design standards.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep technical knowledge across access control, intrusion, and security integration domains, with the ability to build expert-level command of the ICT product set
  • Strong commercial awareness, including the confidence to support partner profitability conversations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both technical and commercial, with the ability to engage at partner technical and management levels alike
  • A self-starter mindset — able to manage your own time and workload across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistently high standard of quality
  • Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and a willingness to adopt new tooling
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required, with occasional international travel
  • A valid driver's license and the right to work in Canada

Why ICT?

You'll enjoy real autonomy, the support of an experienced and collaborative international team, and the chance to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology in a business that's growing globally and investing in its people.

If you're a technically strong engineer who likes solving hard problems, working directly with partners, and seeing your input shape future products, this is a role where you'll make a genuine impact.

Pay: $110,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
