Apprentice Plumber posting

Apprentice Plumber – Commercial Mechanical World Class Contracting Ltd. · [Calgary / Red Deer], AB · Full-time, permanent apprenticeship

Pay: $22/hour first period, with a raise at every period. Rates assume your own tools and all required tickets. 44-hour work week.

WCC has built commercial mechanical systems across Alberta for over 25 years, with our own 3D modelling and prefab shop in Red Deer County. You'll learn plumbing, gas fitting and hydronic heating on real commercial jobs (schools, seniors' and care facilities, medical and multi-family) beside experienced journeypersons. Pre-employment grads and registered first-years are welcome.

The work

Help install domestic water, drainage, gas and hydronic heating piping on commercial new build
Learn to read drawings and lay out work
Keep material, tools and your work area organized and safe

What you bring

Registered Alberta plumber apprentice, pre-employment pipe trades grad, or ready to register
Your own helper tool kit
CSTS-2020 and Standard First Aid before your first day
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Willingness to learn, and to show up on time

What you get

A raise at every period, from $22 to $44 when you earn your journey ticket
Canada Life group health and dental (WCC-subsidized), plus life and disability insurance, after three months

6% vacation pay and 3.6% general holiday pay on every cheque
WCC pays your safety-ticket recertifications once you've been with us six months
