LOCATION: Manning Park Resort, BC (On-site - staff housing available)

What if your accounting role came with mountain views, fresh air, and a lifestyle built around balance instead of burnout?

Manning Park Resort is a year-round mountain resort nestled between Hope and Princeton, BC, offering a rare opportunity to combine professional accounting work with an outdoor-focused way of life. Living and working on-site means less commuting, lower living costs, and more time for the things that matter - hiking, paddling, skiing, snowshoeing, or simply enjoying a quieter pace of life away from the city.

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-driven Accounting Administrator to join our finance team and live on-site at the resort. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role takes ownership of core accounting functions and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across a dynamic, multi-revenue operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily reconciliation of transactions from resort POS systems and payment platforms
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue posting across all departments
  • Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts using QuickBooks Online
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close processes
  • Administer Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, monitoring, and collections
  • Process Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payments
  • Perform bank and cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare recurring financial, operational, and gratuity reports
  • Maintain integrity of accounting data and chart of accounts
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to accounting policies

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 1 year of accounting experience; hospitality or resort experience is an asset
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience working with POS systems such as Silverware, Clover, Paradox, or similar
  • Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting and reconciliation processes
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

THE MANNING PARK EXPERIENCE

  • Live and work in a beautiful mountain setting surrounded by nature
  • Enjoy a close-knit community of colleagues who share work and lifestyle
  • Spend less time commuting and more time enjoying outdoor recreation
  • Experience a calmer pace of living with year-round activities outside your door

BENEFITS

  • Rent-free staff housing (Utilities charge: $170 biweekly, including heat, hydro, water, and waste)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Free seasonal activity pass (winter and summer)
  • Free equipment rentals and lessons
  • Monthly on-site medical and wellness services
  • Regular grocery pickup service
  • Employee discounts at resort restaurants, pub, retail store, and day lodge
