As the Front Desk Agent at the Woodrun Lodge, you will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm and professional welcome. Working as part of the Guest Services Team, this role focuses on check-in and check-out services, guest inquiries, and in-stay support, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience for all guests. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What will I be doing?

Guest Services & Front Desk Operations

  • Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests upon arrival.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest details and payment processing.
  • Serve as the primary contact for guests, answering inquiries about their stay, the property, and Whistler experiences.
  • Assist with special requests and concierge services, such as transportation bookings, ski passes, and dinner reservations.
  • Address guest concerns and service recovery in a proactive and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Guest Services Team, Housekeeping, and Maintenance to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Report any maintenance issues, housekeeping requests, or property concerns to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Ensure that guest reservations are accurate, and all pre-arrival details and special requests are recorded in the system.

Administration & Property Oversight

  • Process guest payments, security deposits, and incidentals while maintaining accurate billing records.
  • Maintain daily front desk reports, logs, and shift checklists to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Keep an updated knowledge of property layouts, amenities, and policies, offering recommendations to guests when needed.
  • Assist with inventory management for guest amenities and front desk supplies.

Teamwork & Flexibility

  • Work closely with the Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to coordinate room readiness and address any guest concerns.
  • Provide support to other Guest Services team members during peak periods.
  • Be flexible in job responsibilities, assisting with various guest service functions as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous front desk, concierge, or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a calm and professional approach to handling guest concerns.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in property management systems, reservation platforms, and payment processing.
  • Knowledge of Whistler and local activities is an asset.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods.
