Full job description

About the Role

Are you a high-energy "performer" who loves working with kids? Little Kickers is not just a soccer program; it’s a positive introduction to sport through imagination and play. We don’t just teach drills; we tell stories. We are looking for coaches in Moncton, New Brunswick who can transform a soccer field into a world of pirates, jungle animals, or space explorers to keep children engaged while they learn fundamental skills.

The coaching role is part-time – Saturday, Sunday mornings, and weekday evenings. Coaching hours per week range from 3 to 10 hours, depending on your availability and willingness to coach additional classes or locations. Full Training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage & Animate: Lead high-energy sessions using our imaginative lesson plans to keep kids aged 18 months to 8 years focused and excited.
  • Parent Partnership: Act as the face of the program by providing parents with clear, enthusiastic, and developmental feedback about their child’s progress.
  • Safety & Logistics: Ensure a safe, inclusive environment and assist with basic tasks like attendance check and equipment setup.
  • Problem-Solving: Use your "inner child" to creatively handle scenarios like a crying toddler or a group losing focus.

What We’re Looking For

  • The "Wow" Factor: A REALLY outgoing and confident personality. You must be comfortable being silly and playful to connect with toddlers.
  • Communication Pros: Excellent verbal skills to engage both children during play and parents during "sideline" discussions.
  • Soccer/Sports Passion: Previous coaching or childcare experience is a major asset, especially in soccer.
  • Reliability: We operate year-round. Consistent weekend availability is a must.
  • Educational background: Early Childhood Education/Child Youth Worker, Kinesiology or Physical Education, or other studies/background in Child Care.

Requirements

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to demonstrate drills and stay active for 3+ hours.
  • Safety: A valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required by New Brunswick youth sport regulations).
  • Certification: First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it).
  • Reliable Transportation: Ability to travel to class locations across the Saint John area.

Why Join Our New Brunswick Team?

  • Competitive Pay: Competitive hourly rates starting from $18.50.
  • Fun Environment: Work in a non-competitive, high-energy atmosphere where "fun comes first".
  • Growth: Gain experience with a world-class franchise brand as we launch this new territory.

Join our team as a Kids Coach to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through soccer while enjoying a dynamic, supportive work environment.

How to Apply: Send your resume and a brief "cover note" explaining why you’d be a great fit for our team to newbrunswick@littlekickers.ca.
