Edion Staffing Agency is sourcing candidates on behalf of a client for a Life Insurance Sales Agent opportunity.
Location: British Columbia, Canada
This is a commission-only, independent contractor/self-employed position. There is no base salary or guaranteed hourly wage. Agents may work full-time or part-time depending on their availability.
Compensation
Agents earn commissions based on insurance policies sold. Commission rates vary based on contract level.
New agents typically begin at the Financial Associate level with a 70% contract rate.
Across the client's agents, the reported average annual commission income is approximately CA$73,670. This amount is not guaranteed. Actual earnings depend on individual sales performance and completed business.
Responsibilities
- Contact prospective clients using leads provided by the agency or self-generated leads.
- Meet with prospective clients primarily by phone or Zoom.
- Discuss client needs and present appropriate life insurance products.
- Assist clients with insurance applications and policy selection.
- Follow up with prospective and existing clients.
- Attend approximately two hours per week of sales, product and compliance training.

Agents primarily market and sell:
- Term life insurance
- Permanent life insurance
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a commission-only sales environment.
- Sales or customer service experience is an asset.
Nice to have: Life Insurance License preferred.
