Full job description

Job Summary
A Service Department Porter is the logistical backbone of a service and sales departments. They ensure vehicle are properly staged, organized and ready for the service advisor and the customer.

Service Department Port is responsible for (not limited to) starting a check in process. The Service Porter will engage with customer, direct them to the correct service advisor or parts advisor, they will be taking vehicle photos before the check in. The porter will install a seat cover and floor mat. After the service advisor is done checking in the vehicle the porter will park it in a specific location to be worked on. After the work has been completed the porter will wash the vehicle and have it ready for pick up.

Additional Duties (not limited to)

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Opening and Closing the service department
  • Tire Storage
  • Vehicle pick up and drop off
  • Assist with commercial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring all areas are presentable and hygienic.
  • Ensure all common areas, restrooms, and workspaces are organized and well-maintained.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance tasks to promote a safe working environment.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Drivers License Class 5 or 7. (Drivers abstract will be required at time of offer)
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable work ethic with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in facilities support while contributing to a clean and well-maintained environment.
