About Us

Royal Crown Plywood is a Canadian distributor of premium plywood, decorative panels, veneer products, and architectural materials. We work with manufacturers and suppliers from North America, Europe, and Asia to bring unique, high-quality materials to the Canadian market.

We are looking for an Architectural & Design Representative to develop our presence within the architectural and interior design community in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

The Role

The Architectural & Design Representative will be responsible for introducing our products to architects, interior designers, design firms, developers, and other architectural professionals and developing long-term relationships that lead to product specifications and projects.

This is a relationship-driven position. The successful candidate should enjoy meeting designers, presenting materials, understanding design requirements, and identifying opportunities where our products can be specified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, developers, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular visits to architectural and design offices.
  • Present product samples, material collections, technical information, and new products.
  • Arrange and conduct product presentations and lunch-and-learns.
  • Introduce our decorative veneer panels, architectural plywood, and other specialty products to the design community.
  • Identify projects where our products may be specified.
  • Follow up with designers and project teams from initial presentation through product specification and project completion.
  • Maintain a database of architectural and design contacts and project opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, design shows, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Work closely with our sales and product teams to provide samples, pricing, technical information, and project support.
  • Monitor architectural and interior design trends and identify opportunities for new products.
  • Provide feedback from the design community to help guide product development and marketing.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in architectural sales, interior design, building materials, decorative surfaces, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, interior design, materials, and design processes.
  • Existing relationships with architects and/or interior designers in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland are an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable making in-person presentations and visiting design offices.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong interest in architectural materials, wood, veneer, decorative panels, and interior finishes.
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, or similar tools is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary plus performance-based compensation.
  • Opportunity to build and develop a new architectural specification business.
  • Work with unique and premium architectural materials.
  • Opportunity to attend industry and design events.
  • Support from an experienced sales and product team.
  • Growth opportunities within a growing Canadian building-materials company.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is well connected, curious about design, and comfortable building relationships.

You don't need to be a traditional salesperson. The most important qualities are the ability to communicate with designers, understand their needs, present materials effectively, and build long-term professional relationships.

If you enjoy architecture, interior design, materials, and meeting creative professionals, we would like to hear from you.

To apply: Please submit your resume and a brief introduction describing your experience working with architects, interior designers, or building-material professionals.
