Based in Edmonton, AB with an Initial Assignment in Fort McMurray

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with your hands? Whether you have experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, sheet metal, construction, industrial maintenance, equipment assembly, or another hands-on trade, we would like to hear from you.

Pat's Driveline is looking for a motivated individual to join our service team. This is a permanent, full-time position that begins with an assignment in Fort McMurray for approximately six months. Following the assignment, the successful candidate will return to the Edmonton area.

You do not need to be a licensed mechanic. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in producing quality work. We will provide training on our products and repair procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Inspect and test driveshafts to identify wear, damage, and mechanical issues.
  • Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble driveshafts.
  • Balance driveshafts using specialized equipment.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, and tape measures.
  • Read and follow work orders and repair procedures.
  • Perform repairs to company and manufacturer quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to obtain required components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver quality repairs and excellent customer service.

What You Bring

  • At least 2 years of hands-on mechanical, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or construction experience.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
  • Basic math skills, including working with fractions.
  • Ability to read work orders and follow technical instructions.
  • Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.
  • Welding or manual lathe experience is an asset but not required.
