With over a decade of experience in providing top-brand aerial lift and material handling equipment for rent in Atlantic Canada, we are excited to be adding to our team. We continue to grow through technological innovations, expanded product offerings, and our value-added services that we have supported our customers with for the past years. We specialize in commercial, industrial, and maintenance projects throughout the Maritime provinces.

We are currently looking to hire our next great team member for the position of Operations Supervisor in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Position Overview:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the branch, ensuring efficient workflow, equipment readiness, and adherence to safety and service standards. This role supports the Branch Manager in leading the operations team and plays a key role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Operational Coordination

  • Supervise daily yard and shop operations, including equipment check-in/check-out, inspections, and maintenance scheduling.
  • Ensure all rental equipment is clean, functional, and ready for dispatch.
  • Coordinate logistics for equipment deliveries and pickups in collaboration with drivers and dispatch.

Team Supervision

  • Provide direction and support to yard staff, Dispatch, and drivers.
  • Monitor work assignments and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and performance feedback for operations personnel.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to CSA and OH&S standards.

Customer Service Support

  • Assist with customer inquiries related to equipment availability, condition, and delivery timelines.
  • Support the rental counter team during peak periods or as needed.
  • Resolve operational issues that may impact customer satisfaction.

Inventory and Equipment Management

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment status, maintenance logs, and yard inventory.
  • Report equipment damage, loss, or service needs promptly.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely servicing of fleet assets.

Skills Required:

  • Proven supervisory experience in equipment rental, logistics, or related industry
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, inventory management, and safety standards
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Effective organizational, time management, and process improvement skills
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving capabilities
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with rental management software and basic computer applications
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Post-secondary education preferred
