Skyview Ranch Physiotherapy and North-West Physiotherapy are multidisciplinary clinics providing services including physiotherapy for motor vehicle accident claims, WCB claims, extended health care/private patients, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

We are currently looking for an experienced, friendly, energetic, and organized individual to join our team as a Physiotherapy Assistant / MOA. This position will primarily involve assisting physiotherapists and other practitioners with patient care, treatment room preparation, modality setup, and clinic flow, along with front-desk and administrative support as needed.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting physiotherapists with patient flow and treatment room management.
• Preparing patients for physiotherapy treatments as directed by the therapist.
• Setting up and removing treatment modalities such as heat, ice, TENS/IFC, ultrasound, laser, shockwave, and other equipment under the direction of the therapist.
• Cleaning and sanitizing treatment beds, equipment, exercise areas, and treatment rooms after each patient.
• Assisting patients with basic supervised exercises as instructed by the physiotherapist.
• Helping patients safely use exercise equipment in the clinic.
• Preparing treatment rooms, supplies, linens, towels, and equipment before and after treatments.
• Supporting therapists with patient positioning, comfort, and safety during treatment sessions.
• Monitoring patients during modalities and informing the therapist of any concerns or discomfort.
• Assisting with basic home exercise program demonstrations only as directed by the physiotherapist.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the gym area, treatment rooms, laundry area, and clinic supplies.
• Performing laundry duties, stocking supplies, and ensuring treatment areas are ready for use.
• Helping maintain smooth patient flow between reception, treatment rooms, and exercise areas.
• Greeting patients and visitors in person and over the phone in a professional and friendly manner.
• Scheduling patient appointments in person and by telephone.
• Maintaining patient information, insurance details, and financial records.
• Collecting payments and assisting with billing, filing, spreadsheets, and third-party claim processing.
• Processing incoming and outgoing mail, courier packages, and faxes.
• Performing bank reconciliation and other clinic support duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a physiotherapy clinic, chiropractic clinic, rehabilitation clinic, or medical office is preferred.
• Experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Friendly, positive, enthusiastic, and patient-focused attitude.
• Reliable, dedicated, organized, and able to multitask in a busy clinic environment.
• Comfortable assisting patients in a clinical treatment setting.
• Ability to follow instructions from physiotherapists and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn clinic software systems and adapt to new responsibilities.
• Must be professional, punctual, and willing to help with both clinical and administrative tasks.
