Overview
We are a well diversified custom machine shop specializing in food, pharmaceutical, space exploration, oil and gas, and automotive industries. We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a great personality along with high quality expectations. They will be able to operate both manual lathe and manual mill efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Manual Mills and Lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members on larger projects.
  • Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Ideally Red Seal.
  • Proficient in working from blueprints.
  • Ability to do repair work a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, including the use of lathes and milling machines.
  • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
