Full job description

Overview

We are seeking skilled and experienced Journeyperson Ironworkers to join our construction team. This vital role involves working on structural steel, and various metal components to support building projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, with proficiency in handling heavy equipment, power tools, and blueprint reading. As a Journeyperson Ironworker, you will contribute to the safe and efficient erection of structures, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications.

Daily travel allowance of $37.50

Duties

  • Erect, install structural steel frameworks for commercial and industrial buildings
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise installation
  • Perform welding tasks to join steel components securely
  • Use hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal structures
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Proven experience and certification as a Journeyman/woman Ironworker is required
  • Mechanical knowledge related to steel erection
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, working at heights, and construction sites
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in following technical drawings and schematics
  • Valid certification or licensing as required by local regulations or industry standards is preferred but not mandatory
  • Commitment to safety standards and teamwork-oriented attitude

Pay: $49.95 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 per week
