Full job description

The Fence Store is a Calgary based fence company that is committed to doing great things in the fence industry. We are looking for a detailed-oriented person, who can run our shop/yard and be able to weld when necessary. The successful candidate must be driven by results and teamwork

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Operate forklift to move materials and products in the warehouse and production area

· Manage inventory control, ensuring stock levels are update in the computer accurately

· Perform order picking and packing with high attention to detail

· Pick up supplies from our various vendors

· Maintain a clean organized and safe work area/environment in the workplace

· Deliver materials to various job sites when needed

· Mig/stick welding a must, as you will be fabricating Ornamental Iron and Chain Link Gates

· On Site welding when required

· Training new employees

· Assist the crews in mobilizing and demobilizing

· Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

· Daily entering purchases and Sale Orders into computer

SKILLS AND ASSETS

· Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License (NO GDL) with a clean record

· Be able to drive a truck and trailer in a safe manner

· Must have effective verbal and written skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Strong Organizational Skills

· Ability to lift at least 30 pounds is required

· Must demonstrate manual dexterity and willingness to learn

· Must be able to multi-task

· Must have computer skills

· Welding ticket not required

We offer competitive wages, benefits including dental, life insurance and extended benefits.

Monday thru Friday Shift 7:00 – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime and working Saturdays.
