Position: Weekend Program Supervisor

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON

Working Hours: 16–24 hours for Saturdays and Sundays and/or Statutory Holidays
Wages: $30.10/hr (Commensurate based on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

Aptus Treatment Centre is seeking a compassionate, inclusive, and professional Weekend Program Supervisor to join our Supportive Living Program. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the developmental services sector, including supervisory experience within a similar supportive living environment.

The Weekend Program Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support to teams caring for individuals with complex needs, including people who may present with high behavioural support needs and those who are non-verbal. This role supports a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment through person-directed approaches, team coaching, mentorship, and effective service delivery.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the Supervisor is a member of the management team and provides leadership, quality planning, resource management, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure alignment with Aptus’ Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and support to direct support professionals and team leads.
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations and ensure services align with individual and organizational goals.
  • Promote person-directed care and support the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans, Person Centered Plans, and Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support compliance with relevant legislation, organizational policies, Ministry requirements, health and safety standards, and funder guidelines.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, reports, team meetings, resource planning, and operational priorities.
  • Advocate for and support people receiving services to achieve meaningful personal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Developmental Services, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, dual diagnosis, and complex behavioural needs.
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in the developmental services sector.
  • Experience with behaviour intervention best practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, organizational, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to successfully lead teams using a collaborative approach.
  • Knowledge of disability issues, relevant legislation, and person-directed support practices.
  • Strong administrative and technological skills.
  • Valid G2/G Driver’s License in Ontario with an acceptable driving record.
  • Certified in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
