Job Title: Event Coordinator

No Small Feast is a mid sized catering company that is growing quickly. We specialize in creating unforgettable culinary experiences for weddings, corporate events, private parties.

We're looking for a new team member who is excited to grow with us. Someone who can think on their feet and is passionate about growing the company and their career.

No two days are the same, you may find yourself planning a wedding one day, representing a brand in a mall the next day, and then facilitating a production kitchen in a farmers field the day after that.

Hours: 35 - 40+ Hours Per Week

Position Summary: The Event Coordinator will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing client relationships. You'll play a key role in planning and executing events, ensuring that every detail is meticulously handled. If you are passionate about the culinary industry and have a proven track record in sales, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive catering sales and expand our client base.
  • Work directly with clients to plan and manage events, including menu consultation, arranging décor, running a bar, as well as assist with finding venues
  • Collaborate with our culinary and operations teams to create customized catering solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Event scheduling, staff bookings, rental bookings
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and detailed event plans.
  • Generate new business and drive revenue
  • Manage, nurture and grow client and venue relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service from initial inquiry to event completion.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Catering & Event planning (looking for 3 years in the industry)
  • Knowledge and passion for food and creating memorable experiences
  • Ability to work in an intense, fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to problem solve creatively and calmly under pressure
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with team members
  • Knowledge of the Toronto event market
  • Competency with common office software (Excel, Word, Google Workspace) and Adobe software ( InDesign)
  • Experience with Event Management Software (Total Party Planner)
