Restaurant Supervisor

About Us

Yo-Bones BBQ Catering Ltd. is a locally owned Southern-style BBQ restaurant and catering company serving the Lower Mainland.

What began as a single food truck in 2018 has grown into a thriving business with a restaurant, food truck, online delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash, and full-service catering for private events, weddings, film productions, and corporate functions.

We are passionate about authentic BBQ, exceptional customer service, and creating a positive workplace where our team can grow. We value teamwork, respect, food safety, and consistency in everything we do.

We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering great food and outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Open and close the restaurant following company procedures.
  • Assign duties and monitor staff performance throughout the shift.
  • Train new employees on customer service, food handling, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Monitor inventory and notify management of items that need to be ordered.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Operate the POS system, process payments, and balance cash at the end of the shift.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service.
  • Assist with food preparation, packaging, and serving during busy periods.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a restaurant, café, or food service environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
