Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Water Tanker Driver and become a vital part of our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of water from High River to Calgary. This job is a night shift position from 5pm-4am. This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate heavy-duty vehicles, manage water delivery schedules, and contribute to community and industrial needs. Duties

  • Safely operate water tanker trucks across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Load and unload water using appropriate equipment such as hoses, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain vehicle reliability.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to tanker operation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy vehicles such as water tankers.
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation enhances your ability to perform duties effectively.
  • Basic automotive repair skills help in troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the go.
  • Prior experience in water tanker operation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
