Waste Solutions Canada is one of the largest independent management companies for waste and recycling services in Canada. For the past six consecutive years, we’ve been recognized each year on the Globe and Mail’s Fastest Growing Companies in Canada list. We’ve also been Great Place to Work® certified for five consecutive years, and in 2025, we received the recognition of being one of the Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness and Inclusion in Canada.

We are a leader in innovative smart waste technology and value-added solutions from coast to coast. As we continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our Sales team as a Outside Sales Representative.

Job Type: Existing Vacancy

Job Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative owns an assigned territory and is responsible for converting qualified and self-sourced opportunities into signed, profitable Waste Solutions Management Agreements. This field-based role manages the sales cycle from initial meeting through close, including site assessments, proposals, negotiation, and a smooth handoff to Account Management. If you thrive on closing deals, owning your own book of business, and being rewarded directly for the results you drive, this is that role.

What you will be doing:

  • Own an assigned territory, including quota, pipeline, prioritization, and forecasting.
  • Run in-person and virtual meetings with prospective customers and conduct site assessments to understand service needs.
  • Qualify opportunities, collect the information and documents needed for accurate pricing, and coordinate proposal preparation.
  • Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close new waste and recycling agreements within approved parameters.
  • Partner closely with Business Development Representatives, providing timely feedback and progressing accepted opportunities.
  • Build additional pipeline through self-sourced prospecting, referrals, local relationships, and in-person outreach.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, close dates, and sales activity for reliable forecasting.
  • Hand off won accounts to Account Management for a smooth onboarding and service start.

What we are looking for:

  • 2-4 years of B2B outside or field sales experience with responsibility for closing business and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills.
  • Comfortable conducting in-person customer meetings, site assessments, and regular territory travel.
  • A valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
  • Strong CRM, pipeline management, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, commercially minded, and comfortable working independently in a target-driven environment.
  • Experience in waste, recycling, environmental services, facilities, property management, or recurring-service sales is considered an asset.
