Full job description

PURPOSE

Perform a full range of service activities on heavy equipment and related shop duties.

SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
  • Work proactively to identify and address safety concerns for yourself and coworkers.
  • Report all safety issues to the supervisor promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash mining equipment and components as required.
  • Maintain the wash bay for safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas.
  • Complete and track work orders.
  • Transport parts between surface and underground using designated vehicles.
  • Replenish shop inventory (e.g., parts, oil).
  • Dispose of waste and recycling in designated areas.
  • Assist mechanics and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Create work orders with minimal supervision.
  • Enter time confirmation in SAP.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Motivated and able to work independently in a challenging environment.
  • Previous shop or yard experience is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in cross-cultural work environments is an asset.
  • Completion of Modules 13, 14, and 24 preferred, along with basic underground common core.
  • Valid G-Class driver’s license.
  • Secondary school completion is required.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with heavy-duty underground vehicles.

OTHER SKILLS

  • Reliable attendance and flexibility for shift work.
  • Strength and stamina for heavy equipment tasks and confined spaces.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery.

SHIFT DETAILS

  • Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off (7/7 rotation)

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

  • Travel Allowance: $450 per rotation
  • Camp accommodation and food are provided
