Sourcing and expansion

  • Source and vet new partner warehouses when coverage or capacity is needed.
  • Evaluate candidates for quality, staffing, capabilities and cost.
  • Support onboarding and training for all new facilities.
  • Build playbooks so all partners follow consistent standards.

Performance and accountability

  • Track OTIF, SLA, throughput and accuracy across all partners.

  • Host MBR and QBR reviews to outline wins, issues and required improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and documented workflows.

Margin and profitability

  • Review cost per order and cost per unit at each partner warehouse.
  • Identify waste, inefficiency and bad workflow design that impacts margin.
  • Recommend layout, staffing or process changes that increase throughput.
  • Work with Finance on cost control, pricing and vendor performance.
  • Shift merchant volume when it improves cost, speed or reliability.

Middle mile and carrier development

  • Source and negotiate freight, trucking and consolidation partners.
  • Build and improve middle mile lanes for Amazon inbound and DTC delivery.
  • Track routing data and look for faster and cheaper options.
  • Support dispatching, consolidation and order routing improvements.

Program rollout and training

  • Roll out new programs such as parcel, SFP, prep changes or B2B workflows.
  • Train partner warehouses on new processes, tools and expectations.
  • Maintain and update SOPs for consistency across the network.
  • Ensure partners follow safety standards and operational procedures.

Technology and systems

  • Work with tech to build dashboards for warehousing, middle mile and parcel.
  • Improve visibility and reporting across all partner facilities.

  • Ensure partners adopt the required tools and workflow systems.

Cross team alignment

  • Work with Operations on network capacity and planning.
  • Keep Customer Success updated on partner performance and exceptions.
  • Work with Finance on margin tracking and vendor compliance.
  • Support Sales with accurate network capabilities, timelines and coverage maps.
