Full job description

STM Display Sales Inc. Shipper/Receivers are responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products to meet our standards of productivity, quality, safety, and customer service.

Joining our shipping & receiving team means you will use your knowledge to ensure you properly receive incoming material; maintain accurate accountability of receiving; prepare product for shipment according to specifications and/or customer requirements. Always making sure that all paperwork for shipped and received items are filed correctly in accordance with company standards.

The person we seek must have the desire to learn about our products in order to fully understand how accuracy plays an important role in this position.

The incumbent should look to provide ideas on how to improve processes in a strong continuous improvement environment and assist to build a best in class service culture by driving positive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and signing for deliveries
  • Unloading deliveries from trucks

· Picking items from stock and matching again our packing slip for outbound shipping.

  • Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
  • Organizing and storing received items and labeling in appropriate areas.
  • Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.

· Opening daily inbound shipments and verifying correct product against the suppliers packing slip.

  • Ensure zero product delinquency

· Ensures on-time and accurate order fulfilment for internal and external requests

· Facilitates material movement into and out of facility

· Coordinates with purchasing for special shipments, including LTL truck deliveries and pick-ups

· Participates in annual inventory and cycle counts

· Maintains an organized inventory and clean warehouse

· Assists organization of all stored containers

· Organizes pallet racks; breaking down and preparing to ship pallets

· Facilitates and implements warehouse procedures

· Communicates with strong command of English to carriers, visitors and internal team

· Adheres to and ensures safe work practices

· Maintaining a tidy and safe workplace

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving

  • Physical dexterity and experience operating forklifts for both counterbalance forklift and Narrow Isle Reach trucks
  • Forklift license
  • Raymond reach license

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Able to lift 40lbs regularly, unassisted

  • Basic math skills
  • Working knowledge of RF scanners
  • Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

· Understanding of Health and Safety awareness.

· Ability to multi-task and learn quickly with minimal supervision

· Knowledge of logistics and warehouse principles and procedures

· Accountable and responsible

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work and succeed without direct supervision

· Strong team and collaborative skills

· Use of computer technology at the intermediate user level, knowledge of MSOffice

  • First Aid emergency certification or greater an asset
  • Some experience in using an SAP system an asset

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking and standing with occasional sitting
  • Lifting 40 lbs regularly unassisted
  • Good manual dexterity for packing, filling in forms and keyboarding

Work Environment

  • Interaction with customers on-site
  • High noise levels and moving machinery
  • Work environment is subject to dust, high/low temperatures

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work Expectations: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm
