Job Summary:
We currently have an open position for a Warehouse Operator to join our team on the day shift (7:00 am – 4:00 pm). This role is responsible for safe and efficient warehousing of customer-owned goods, repackaging and/or production of various products according to established procedures, and following all safety protocols and workplace policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet customers’ packaging requirements
- Matching BOL to physical shipment
- Delivering paperwork to proper person
- Segregating damaged product
- Ensuring physical inventory is accurate and performing random audits on inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by implementing daily housekeeping habits
- Ensure that AWSA protocols are met
- Ensure FIFO standards are being used
- Packaging and labelling products
- Distribution of product and staging loads for shipment
- Repetitive motion/lifting
- Other related duties as required or assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of counterbalance forklift experience required
- Minimum 1 year of warehousing experience required
- Demonstrate good organizational skills
- Know how to work safely and identify any health and safety issues
- Able to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving its processes and practices
- Able to follow instructions from Supervisor
Working Conditions:
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Manual dexterity to work on various projects
- Overtime as required
- Candidate needs to be flexible as travelling to other Ontario sites during our off season may be required, as well as slight working hour adjustments to support customer demands
