Job Summary

TIW Western Inc. is an established Calgary-based manufacturing company and a recognized leader in the design and supply of heat transfer and combustion equipment.

We are currently seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for shipping/receiving operations, inventory control, material handling, and logistics coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and verify orders using pick slips and work orders
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications for accuracy
  • Package and prepare industrial materials, parts, and equipment for shipment
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, waybills, and freight paperwork
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers such as Purolator, FedEx, TST-CF, Grimshaw, and other freight providers
  • Load and unload trucks safely using material handling equipment
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing lists
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies
  • Label, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, industrial supply, fabrication, or oil & gas environments
  • Forklift experience required; certification is a strong asset
  • Experience handling industrial parts, equipment, raw materials, and inventory
  • Familiarity with Bills of Lading (BOLs), purchase orders, packing slips, freight shipments, and inventory control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong data-entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)

Important

This is not a driving or courier position. We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, inventory control, forklift operation, and industrial material handling. Applicants whose experience is primarily limited to parcel delivery, courier services, rideshare, or last-mile delivery roles may not be suitable for this position.

Wages and Benefits

· This is a fulltime position on a 4 days per week x 10 hours per day schedule, from Monday to Thursday. Occasional overtime may be available.
