HECOD Blockchain Inc. is a Vancouver-based applied technology company. We build software, workflow, and verifiable systems for markets that still run on disconnected spreadsheets, inboxes, and portals.

Cloud infrastructure, conventional databases, APIs, workflow automation, and applied AI do most of the work. Blockchain is used only where shared verification and tamper-evident records add practical value.

Our Products:

• HECOD Collect (controlled preview): a receivables workspace for B2B service businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and shared inboxes. It brings invoices, follow-up decisions, and customer responses into one reviewable record.
• HECOD Shelfware (planned): software spend and renewal control. It connects finance, IT, and department evidence so an owner can decide whether to keep, investigate, or change a subscription.
• EVRAYO (in development): an operating layer for private real estate that connects sponsors, property-specific entities, and eligible investors from onboarding through distributions.
• HECOD Block (invitation-only): our first launched product, a no-code blockchain deployment platform.

We also deliver custom software, integration, and advisory work for small businesses, enterprises, and the public sector.

The Role

You will turn messy business processes into clear requirements our engineers can build. Most of our customers' problems sit between systems: the accounting package, the inbox, the spreadsheet, and the person who remembers why something was bought or who already followed up.

Your job is to find out how the work actually happens today, document it accurately, and define what the software should do about it. You will sit between customers, the Lead – Technology, and engineering, and your documents will be the reference everyone builds from.

Main Duties

• Confer with clients, users, and internal stakeholders to identify and document business requirements.
• Analyze business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop business and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and process models for information systems.
• Assess existing systems, data sources, and integrations, and recommend solutions.
• Develop data mapping and reconciliation specifications between systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct user acceptance testing of new and modified systems.
• Prepare documentation, user guides, and training materials for users and internal teams.
• Coordinate with developers during implementation to confirm requirements are understood and met.
• Monitor systems after release and gather feedback for further improvement.

Detailed Responsibilities
HECOD Collect

• Interview agencies, IT consultancies, professional service firms, and bookkeepers about how they track and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Map current-state workflows, including where payments, disputes, and promises get lost between tools.
• Translate findings into follow-up rules, hold conditions, approval steps, and reminder requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria for new features and verify them before release.
• Review customer feedback from the controlled preview and turn it into prioritized requirements.

Integrations

• Specify field mapping between Collect and accounting systems (CSV today, QuickBooks Online in preparation).
• Define reconciliation rules for payments, credits, and partial balances.
• Document edge cases: currency differences, voided invoices, duplicate customers, and manual payment entries.

HECOD Shelfware (discovery)

• Interview finance leads, IT administrators, and department owners about software renewals.
• Define what evidence (spend records, seat assignments, activity, renewal dates) an owner needs before deciding to keep, investigate, or change a subscription.
• Document the difference between found, approved, implemented, and verified savings.

EVRAYO

• Document sponsor and investor workflows across onboarding, subscription, administration, and distributions.
• Work within legal structures defined by counsel; requirements support the legal process and do not replace it.

Consulting Engagements

• Support technology diagnostics for client businesses, including document review and current-state analysis.
• Draft written assessments and phased roadmaps for review by the Lead – Technology.

RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, commerce, or a related field, OR
• College diploma in business systems or a related program with equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, business systems analyst, systems analyst, or in a similar role.
• Experience working on a software product or implementation project from requirements through release.

Skills

• Writing functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Process mapping (for example, BPMN or swimlane diagrams).
• Working knowledge of relational data; able to read and write basic SQL queries.
• Planning and running user acceptance testing.
• Strong written English; you write decisions down clearly and precisely.
• Comfortable interviewing customers and asking the second and third question.

Nice to Have

• Experience with accounts receivable, billing, finance operations, or bookkeeping.
• Experience with SaaS spend management or procurement.
• Exposure to private-market, fund, or real-estate administration.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting systems.
• French proficiency (we support FR-CA users).
• Business analysis certification (for example, CBAP or CCBA).

What Success Looks Like
First 3 Months

• You have interviewed a set of Collect users and documented their current workflows.
• You have written requirements for at least one feature that shipped.
• You have run acceptance testing on a release.

First 12 Months

• Engineering builds from your specifications without needing to re-ask the basic questions.
• You have produced the requirements for a production accounting integration.
• You have completed the discovery documentation for HECOD Shelfware.

Work Authorization and LMIA
