Full job description

About Us

We’re an innovation-driven agricultural company focused on soil health, biological solutions, and producer-first support. Our team is built on relationships, education, and a commitment to delivering measurable on-farm value. We’re expanding rapidly and seeking a motivated external sales professional to accelerate that growth.

About the Role

As an Internal Sales Associate, you’ll be the first point of contact for inbound leads, grower inquiries, and direct sales. Your role blends sales support, proactive outreach, and relationship management, ensuring each customer receives timely information, consistent follow-up, and a smooth path toward adoption and cyclical revenue.

You'll collaborate closely with other sales team members, management, marketing, and leadership to help maintain a healthy pipeline while driving strong conversion rates from initial inquiry to order.

The position requires approximately 85% office-based work with 15% dedicated to travel and in-field/client-facing activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle inbound calls and leads, outbound lead generation, referrals, and event follow-ups with professionalism and urgency.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to nurture prospects, schedule and conduct discovery meetings, and qualify leads.
  • Maintain accurate and organized CRM records, pipelines, and customer notes.
  • Provide product knowledge to growers/clients, answer common questions, and relay complex inquiries to technical staff.
  • Assist with campaign execution: event promotions, RSVP outreach, webinar reminders, and seasonal sales pushes.
  • Manage recurring order reminders, customer check-ins, and follow-up touchpoints.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring growers feel supported from first contact through purchase.
  • Participate in on-farm meetings, grower events and tradeshows.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in any client-facing sales capacity, customer service (agriculture experience is an asset but not required).
  • Agricultural or input sales experience (preferred but not required).
  • Adept communication and sales skills with a polished yet personable presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, call volumes, conversion rates, territory management or other KPI-driven expectations.
  • Strong objection-handling skills with the ability to guide conversations toward next steps, commitments, and revenue-focused outcomes.
  • Experience in using CRM systems, email tools, and structured call workflows.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Apple Software & Systems & Google Suite.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn product information quickly and convey it clearly.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, designed to encourage outbound proactiveness,
  • Valid driver’s licence & driver’s abstract.
  • Reliable vehicle with the ability to travel within assigned territory when necessary.
  • Valid passport.

What We’re Looking For

You enjoy conversations that build trust and momentum. You’re energized by helping customers, keeping a pipeline moving, and turning interest into action. You’re disciplined, organized, and comfortable balancing service-oriented tasks with proactive sales outreach. Most importantly, you want to be part of a team that values education, authenticity, and long-term relationships.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: Competitive base salary with uncapped commission earning potential and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous vacation and personal days.
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Some remote work options depending on the week.
  • In-Office Gym Access: Prioritize your health while you work.
  • Professional Development: Training, workshops, certifications, and growth opportunities.
  • Supportive Work Environment: A collaborative, high-performance team where your work actually matters.
  • Ownership & Impact: You’ll have real influence on how the office runs and how the company operates day-to-day.
  • Company-Supplied Technology: A dedicated business-use tablet and accessories to help you stay organized and productive.
