Full job description

We're looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role supports our day-to-day bookkeeping and office administration. If you're willing to learn and ready to be part of a growing company, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage50 accounting software
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process payroll and maintain employee payroll records.
  • Prepare and submit required government remittances, filings, and reports.
  • Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
  • Maintain and administer agricultural reporting, grants, claims, and government program requirements.
  • Provide general office administration and administrative support.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Experience with payroll, CRA remittances, and general bookkeeping preferred.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Experience in agriculture or greenhouse operations is considered an asset.
  • Experience with TFW, LMIA, and SAWP programs is a plus.
