Full job description

Human Resources Manager

Aisling Baile Inc.
Invermere, BC | Full-Time

Aisling Baile Inc. is a fast-growing short-term rental property management company operating across British Columbia and Alberta. We currently manage approximately 300 properties and employ a team of more than 50 people across operations, cleaning, maintenance, administration, guest services, marketing and client relations.

We are looking for an experienced, organized and people-focused Human Resources Manager to take ownership of our HR function and help us build stronger systems as we continue to grow.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk HR role.

We need someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly seasonal business, supporting managers through real employee challenges, recruiting quickly when the pressure is on, and creating structure where needed.

What You'll Be Responsible For Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Manage recruitment for permanent, temporary and seasonal employees
  • Develop seasonal hiring plans before peak operating periods
  • Write and post job advertisements
  • Screen applicants and coordinate interviews
  • Support managers through the interview and selection process
  • Prepare employment offers and onboarding documentation
  • Develop recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill positions
  • Track recruitment performance, time-to-fill and retention

Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary HR resource for employees and managers
  • Support managers with performance concerns, attendance issues and employee conflicts
  • Assist with workplace investigations and employee complaints
  • Prepare disciplinary documentation and performance improvement plans
  • Support termination and offboarding processes
  • Help create a positive, professional and accountable workplace culture

Onboarding & Employee Administration

  • Manage new employee onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files
  • Track probation periods and employee reviews
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment and employee status changes
  • Maintain employee records across British Columbia and Alberta
  • Develop standardized onboarding and offboarding procedures

Performance Management

  • Develop and administer employee performance review processes
  • Support managers with employee coaching and development
  • Track probationary and annual reviews
  • Identify training and leadership development opportunities
  • Help managers establish clear employee expectations

Policies & Compliance

  • Review and update company HR policies and employee handbook
  • Support compliance with applicable employment legislation in British Columbia and Alberta
  • Maintain appropriate employment documentation
  • Monitor changes to employment standards and workplace requirements
  • Support health and safety documentation and employee incident processes
  • Coordinate with external HR, legal or employment professionals when required

LMIA & Foreign Worker Support

  • Support the company's LMIA and temporary foreign worker processes
  • Assist with LMIA application documentation and recruitment requirements
  • Maintain accurate records for LMIA employees
  • Track work permit, LMIA and immigration-related deadlines
  • Coordinate documentation with immigration consultants and external agencies
  • Support foreign workers through onboarding and workplace integration
  • Help ensure employment conditions remain compliant with approved documentation

Benefits & Payroll Support

  • Coordinate employee changes with payroll and accounting
  • Manage benefit enrollment and eligibility
  • Support employees with benefit-related questions
  • Maintain accurate employee compensation and status records

Seasonal Workforce Planning

Because our business experiences significant seasonal demand, you will play an important role in ensuring we are properly staffed before peak periods.

This includes:

  • Forecasting staffing requirements
  • Building seasonal recruitment pipelines
  • Coordinating large-volume hiring
  • Tracking turnover and retention
  • Identifying staffing risks before they become operational problems
  • Supporting seasonal employee housing and onboarding where applicable

Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • Highly organized and exceptionally detail oriented
  • Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Confident having difficult conversations when necessary
  • Approachable and able to build trust with employees
  • Able to support managers while maintaining fairness and consistency
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions
  • Proactive rather than reactive
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Strong at documentation and follow-through
  • Comfortable working with employees from a variety of backgrounds
  • Interested in helping build HR systems, not simply maintaining existing ones

Experience We'd Love to See

  • Previous HR Generalist, HR Manager or similar experience
  • Experience with recruitment and employee relations
  • Experience with performance management and workplace investigations
  • Knowledge of employment standards in British Columbia and/or Alberta
  • Experience supporting a seasonal, hospitality, tourism, property management or service-based workforce is an asset
  • Experience with LMIA or temporary foreign worker programs is a strong asset
  • Previous experience managing employee benefits and HR documentation is preferred

A formal HR designation such as CPHR is an asset but is not required for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, qualifications and overall fit for the role.

We also offer:

  • Full health and dental benefits
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Annual Health Spending Account
  • Paid vacation
  • Year-round full-time employment
  • Opportunity to build and lead the HR function of a growing company
  • A leadership role with significant autonomy and opportunity for growth

Why Aisling Baile?

We are not a traditional corporate environment.

We move quickly, solve problems, work hard during our busy seasons and genuinely care about creating a company where good people want to stay.

As our Human Resources Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how we recruit, develop, support and retain our team.

You won't simply inherit a rigid HR department. You will help build one.

If you enjoy creating structure, supporting people and being part of a company that is continuing to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

To Apply

Please submit your resume along with a short introduction telling us about your HR experience and why you think you would be a great fit for Aisling Baile Inc.
