Who We Are:

Benchmark Commodities Ltd. is a Canadian company that buys and sells grains and By-products for agricultural producers in the Western provinces. Our "one stop shop" approach allows us to purchase, sell, transport, and deliver commodities to customers across provincial borders, including Eastern Canada, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. In addition to transporting commodities via railway, Benchmark Commodities Ltd. has a trucking fleet and utilizes outside carriers.

What We Are Looking For:

Job Description:

Benchmark Commodities Ltd. is hiring a Grain & Commodity Rail Transload Operator to support daily rail operations at our Ponoka and Bashaw facilities. This is a hands-on role working with CN and CP railcars, grain and commodity products, and transload equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Load and unload grain and commodity products from CN and CP railcars, Loading Trucks with Trailers

· Secure and position railcars, apply hand brakes, and perform basic inspections

· Operate loaders, augers, conveyors, and other transload equipment

· Maintain clean and orderly work areas

· Follow all rail and company safety procedures

· Complete basic documentation and communicate with operations staff

· Assist with general yard and site duties as required

Qualifications:

· Experience in agriculture, grain handling, or industrial work

· Comfortable working outdoors year-round

· Physically able to perform manual work, including climbing railcars

· Safety-minded, dependable, and able to work independently

· Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

The person must be a self starter who is diligent, responsible, and conscientious person who takes pride in their work.

Commitment to attention to detail in all work.
