Full job description

Container Unloading Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Container Unloading Labourer to join our warehouse team. The primary responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently unload shipping containers and move products into the appropriate warehouse areas.

This is a physically demanding position and requires frequent lifting, carrying, moving, and stacking of products throughout the shift.

Duties

  • Unload boxes, grocery products, bags of rice, and other merchandise from shipping containers.
  • Lift, carry, move, and stack products safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with organizing and storing incoming products in designated warehouse areas.
  • Verify and organize products during the unloading process.
  • Assist warehouse staff with receiving, loading, order picking, and other general warehouse duties as required.
  • Keep aisles, exits, unloading areas, and work areas clean and free of hazards.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and workplace safety requirements.
  • Report damaged products, equipment, hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to complete container unloading in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Must be physically capable of repetitively lifting and carrying 50–75 lbs.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Previous warehouse, general labour, container unloading, shipping/receiving, or similar experience is preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots are mandatory.
  • Forklift or other warehouse equipment experience is an asset but not required unless assigned to operate equipment.
  • Languages Vietnamese, Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin), or Tagalog

This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, physically fit, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing hands-on warehouse and container unloading work.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
