Full job description

Full-Time, Seasonal Portrait Photographers for the busy fall season. The successful candidates will be photographing school children, graduates, faculty, and staff.

SMART Photography is a well-established, Edmonton based company, specializing in school, college, and university portrait photography.

Requirements:

  • Portrait photography experience is a definite asset
  • Experience IN the school photography industry would be a plus
  • Experience dealing with school age children and teenagers would be considered an advantage
  • Must have a valid Alberta Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Candidate’s own vehicle will be used for travel to client locations, and to transport photography equipment, throughout the duration of the season
  • Mileage will be paid for any travel outside the Edmonton Metro area
  • MUST LIVE in the Edmonton or surrounding area.

Candidates best suited for this opportunity will possess the following attributes:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional, yet friendly and personable
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team environment
  • Attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Ability to transport, set up, and take down photography gear: Backgrounds, lighting kits and related equipment (ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. is considered a requirement)
  • Candidates must be prepared to undergo a Criminal Records check

Additional information related to this opportunity:

· Job Type: FULL-time, Temporary/Seasonal

· Location: Edmonton and surrounding area

· Term: Seasonal, multiple positions available

· Start Date: Mid-August 2025

· End Date: 2 - 3 months (possibility of extension into the graduation season)

· Hours: +/- 40 per week, Monday ‐ Friday (Weekend work required on occasion)

· Note: Varied daily start and end times based on client/location requirements.

· Salary: Paid twice monthly, plus bonus Incentives, plus mileage where appropriate
