OAKBERRY Victoria is looking for energetic, reliable and customer-focused team members to join our busy downtown location at 801 Fort Street.

Our Fort Street store is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, so we’re looking for people who can work efficiently, maintain strong attention to detail and provide genuinely friendly service—even during busy periods.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with an immediate start.

About the Role

As an Açaí Barista / Team Member, you will prepare OAKBERRY bowls, smoothies and other menu items while helping deliver a positive and efficient customer experience.

Previous barista, café, quick-service or food-service experience is a strong advantage. We’re also open to candidates who demonstrate excellent reliability, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service
• Prepare açaí bowls, smoothies and other menu items accurately and consistently
• Complete ingredient preparation, portioning and restocking
• Take customer orders and process payments using the Square POS system
• Prepare and package in-store, pickup and delivery orders
• Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients and toppings
• Maintain a clean, organized and food-safe workspace
• Clean and sanitize equipment, preparation areas and customer-facing areas
• Complete assigned opening and closing responsibilities
• Receive, organize and rotate inventory when required
• Work calmly and efficiently with the team during high-volume periods
• Follow all OAKBERRY recipes, procedures and service standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista, café, quick-service or food-service experience is a strong asset
• Friendly, positive and genuinely customer-focused
• Reliable, punctual and accountable
• Able to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation and detail
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Able to stand for extended periods and complete routine cleaning, preparation and restocking duties
• Availability for a combination of daytime, evening and weekend shifts
• Availability to work at least one weekend day is strongly preferred
• Opening or closing availability is a strong advantage
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain it
• Ability to commute reliably to 801 Fort Street in downtown Victoria
• Flexibility to occasionally work at our upcoming Uptown location is an advantage, but is not required

Position Details

• Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities
• Approximately 10–40 hours per week
• Pay: $18.25–$19.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience
• Tips in addition to hourly pay
• Immediate training and start available
• Opportunities for additional responsibility and shift-lead development for strong performers
