Freedom Quest Youth Services Society | Nakusp, BC | $26.75/hour | Part-time (14 hours/week)

Join our dedicated team at Freedom Quest, where you'll provide life-changing support to young people affected by substance use in the beautiful West Kootenay Boundary Region. Your Mission:

You'll be a trusted support helping youth overcome barriers, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Working from a harm-reduction, client-centered, strengths-based approach, you'll provide intake assessments, case management, outreach, and crisis intervention while also participating in recreational programs and community engagement initiatives.

What You Bring:

Required:

  • 2-year diploma in Child & Youth Care, Social Work, or related field
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid BC Class V driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Criminal record check and FoodSafe certification
  • Commitment to Indigenous cultural competency and trauma-informed care

Preferred Assets:

  • 3+ years experience with substance-affected youth
  • one-on-one and group facilitation experience
  • ASIST certification
