Full job description
Are you ready to take the next step from senior leadership into running a business and potentially owning part of it?
We are partnering with a well-established and respected General Contractor in Winnipeg that is looking for a strong operational and business leader to step into a key leadership role as the VP / GM transitions into retirement.
This is more than a Leadership role. It is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing company with a solid reputation, strong relationships, and active work already in the pipeline. The right individual will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact while positioning themselves for future equity or ownership participation.
The Opportunity
The VP / GM will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business while working closely with the leadership team. This individual will provide leadership across operations, project execution, client relationships, financial performance, and strategic growth.
The ideal candidate is someone who has already operated in a senior leadership capacity within construction and understands both the operational and business side of the industry. You are confident in making decisions, adjusting direction when needed, and leading teams through challenges while maintaining strong relationships across the industry.
In a city like Winnipeg, reputation matters. We are looking for someone known for professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and getting projects completed successfully.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America. We believe diverse teams build stronger companies, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We use AI tools to assist in a fair and efficient matching process, helping our recruiters connect the right people with the right opportunities. To be considered, applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including holding any required permits. Our recruitment services are always free for job seekers.
