KIT Recruitment has partnered with a leading organization in the food ingredients sector to hire a Vice President, Food Ingredients. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and operational performance of the Food Ingredients business across North America and Europe.The successful candidate will oversee sales, operations, production planning, freight, logistics, and manufacturing functions while maintaining full P&L accountability for the business line. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded leader with experience in food ingredients, food manufacturing, or agri-commodities who can effectively balance strategic planning with operational execution. Vice President, Food Ingredients – Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and full P&L ownership for the Food Ingredients business across North America and Europe
  • Develop and execute business strategies focused on revenue growth, profitability, operational performance, and market expansion
  • Drive financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, margin management, and cost-control initiatives
  • Present business performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and product growth initiatives
  • Lead sales and commercial activities, including customer development, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and business development efforts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners
  • Oversee manufacturing operations and production facilities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, and cost optimization
  • Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities to align customer demand, inventory levels, production capacity, and procurement requirements
  • Oversee freight, transportation, and logistics functions across North America and Europe
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams across Sales, Operations, Production Planning, Logistics, and Manufacturing
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support succession planning, talent development, and leadership coaching initiatives

Vice President, Food Ingredients – Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field required
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree considered an asset
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within food ingredients, food manufacturing, agri-commodities, or related industries
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and responsibility for business growth and profitability
  • Strong commercial leadership experience including sales management, business development, pricing strategy, and customer relationship management
  • Deep operational experience across manufacturing, production planning, logistics, freight, and supply chain functions
  • Experience managing multi-site operations across multiple geographic regions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards including HACCP, FSMA, SQF, BRC, or similar programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel throughout North America and Europe as required
