Are you a certified Red Seal Electrician with experience in industrial settings?
Join VIA Rail and help ensure the reliability and safety of our national passenger rail fleet.
- Hourly wage: $46.43/hour
- Shift premiums: evening ($1.50/hour), night ($2.00/hour)
- Comprehensive benefits (medical and dental) and pension plan
- Travel pass after one year of service
- Uniforms and equipment provided (boots, safety glasses, helmet, gloves)
- Free parking, locker rooms, showers, and cafeteria
- 5 personal days and up to 10 sick days
- Install, replace, and repair electrical equipment and components
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems, locomotive control systems, power and lighting systems, and configure PLCs
- Check and measure voltage, loads, grounding faults, and circuit integrity
- Execute preventive maintenance and equipment modification programs
- Collaborate with the maintenance team
- Red seal in electricity
- Experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience in electronics within the transportation sector is an asset
- Experience with HVAC systems is an asset
- Ability to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekends, holidays) according to a set schedule
- Permanent position (40 hours per week)
- Variable schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Overtime available
- Vancouver Maintenance Center, Mission Maintenance Center
