Full job description

Duties:

- Help doctor/technician in the treatment area if needed.
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient information in the computer system
- Assist with filling out forms and obtaining necessary signatures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and providing receipts
- Communicate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth flow of appointments

Skills:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and appointment scheduling
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

We are a privately owned practice. The Veterinary Receptionist will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients while supporting the veterinary team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Please note that experience working in a laboratory setting is not required for this position. However, if you have experience in laboratory procedures, it may be considered an additional asset.
