Under the direction and supervision of the veterinarian, this may include assisting with the operation and monitoring of equipment such as fluoroscopy systems, invasive hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and other procedural technologies.
- Communicating with pet owners and accurately relaying information, instructions, and updates provided by the veterinarian or veterinary techologist, while directing medical questions or concerns to the appropriate member of the cardiology team.
- Assisting with departmental administrative and logistical responsibilities, including sending prescriptions to pharmacies, uploading and processing Holter monitor data, organizing diagnostic information, and supporting the management of cardiology records and documentation.
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating cardiology appointments, diagnostic procedures, rechecks, and interventional procedures to support an efficient departmental workflow.
- Working collaboratively with the cardiology veterinarian, veterinary technologist, and other hospital departments to ensure a high standard of patient care and efficient operation of the cardiology service.
- Maintaining, organizing, and restocking cardiology equipment, procedural supplies, and clinical areas as required.
