Veterinary Technician qualifications:

· Work with doctor during appointments, surgeries and procedures

· Obtain and prepare lab samples

· Prepare medication, estimates, and billing

· Comfortable with anesthesia, OR and digital radiographs

· Review patient history & prepare flow sheets

· Coordinate with other departments as needed

· Confident written and verbal English, 2nd language an asset

· Strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills

· Compassionate, adaptable and calm manner

· Exceptional patient advocate and care

· Willing to learn and take on other tasks as needed

· Positive attitude that supports collaborate and inclusive environment

· Rehab clinic experience an asset

· Booking appointments for doctor, surgeon and specialists

· Ensuring all paperwork is complete, scanned and copied into Avimark as needed

· Checking in, weighing patients and recording in Avimark

· Billing clients and ensuring accuracy

· Keeping Hospital clean and tidy

· Opening or closing clinic with other staff

· Comfortable speaking to clients about patient health care

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
